CFF AWARDS FIRST ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP
By Beth Lambert
In the fall of 2007, Chicago Fashion Foundation (CFF) announced that we were launching our first scholarship for fashion students enrolled in Chicago–area fashion programs. The $2,500 scholarship would be awarded based on a design competition and the task at hand was to use Chicago for inspiration for a women’s wear design and to submit their ideas in a story board and essay. CFF displayed the leading submissions during our fall seminar, “Whose Design is it Any Ways?” covering topics related to Intellectual Property in fashion which closed out Fashion Focus Chicago (FFC). The Board chose four finalists from these submissions.
